Forming- This is the stage when the groups meets for the first time and group is formed. People are not aware about each other and try to understand each other’s. Every group member will seem pleasant and very polite. In this phase the relationship between the members is developed.

Storming- The second stage is storming stage. As the name suggest there is a storm in the group. It means conflicts are there in the group. It is like living in a relationship. In starting you think that the opposition is perfect but as the time passes you become more aware about the opponent qualities and conflicts occurs. Some members question the team leaders too about his or her qualification, ability, experience etc. The team leader plays a very crucial role here. The leader should manage the team very effectively.

Norming- In this stage conflicts are getting solved, and everything is coming to normal, People start understanding each other and relation is straighten. Each and every one is aware about his or her role and they are clear what they are supposed to do. There may be little conflicts in this stage but if the team leader had handled the conflicts in the storming stag then the conflicts does not occur.

Performing- This is the stage when the conflicts are solved. People know their responsibilities and performance is on the peal. The relationship among the members is strong and everything is going fine.

Adjourning- This is the last phase when the work is complete and some team members are leaving the group. The team is disband
