A soft drink company is considering an expansion in Indian market. The Indian economy represents different types of media available to the company to reach out to the target audience. there is a robust framework or offline and online media that can be effectively utilized. The offline media includes print media with circulations at the national level, digital media using mass media channels to reach out to the domestic as well as nearby market. To complement and reach out to the audience on 24X7 basis, there is a presence of online media in different forms. The technological environment in India, supports the wide scale uses of email marketing, social media platforms and search engine marketing using Google Adwords, Bing Ads and Colombia ads to facilitate the application of online media to communicate the message. So, a judicious combination of different forms of media, brings an attractive opportunity to the company wiling to expand in India.
Regarding the cost, offline media is more costly than the online media with relatively less scope of effective measurement & control in offline media. Though, the importance of the offline media cannot be ignored if the company wants to tap the rural market in India. The presence of online media and channels should be used to create balance in cost with proper media management. Besides, the effective control, measurement and ability to use the online media with lesser investment, can help the company to achieve its objective as per the budget.
There are different international and domestic agencies present in the country that can offer business consulting & marketing solutions to the company. Firms of international repute such as KPMG & E&Y can assist the company in marketing, consulting and strategy formulations. There are plethora of domestic marketing agencies that can offer marketing solutions to the company.
