HRM plays different strategic roles within an organization. The first strategic role played by HRM is to plan, prepare and ready the human resources in the organization according to the strategic objectives of the organization. It helps organization work in a direction that is decided on the basis of organizational strategy. The second strategic role played by HRM is make organization work as a system by giving them suitable training, development of leadership and building coherence so that whole organization works as system and all the functions pull in the same direction. It helps facilitation of strategic objectives. The third strategic role played by HRM is to build a suitable organizational culture, develop team work ethos while promoting innovation and creativity in the organization and promote diversity while taking initiatives to develop formal and informal system within the organizational culture. It makes organization ready to work in different business environment and become ready to compete. The fourth strategic role played by the HRM is to bring organizational development in the organization and keep organization ready as per the strategic management decisions while developing a culture of change. It makes organization to evolve and organization develops competitive advantages of different nature.
