What were the economic and political benefits of belonging to the Roman Empire?
Ancient Roman Empire was a slave based economy and an agrarian
which concerned about feeding a vast number of citizens who
populated the Mediterranean region. The agriculture and trade of
the empire dominated economic fortunes, which were supplemented by
small scale production. The small scale industrial producers were
at a larger benefit in the Roman Empire. The economy was agrarian,
i.e., centred on trading of agricultural commodities. The people
worked for agricultural sector and small scale sectors related to
it were at greater advantage at that time.
Ancient Roman Empire was divided in two state of classes, i.e.,
aristocrats and common people. The common people slowly maintained
their worth and value in the political as well as social sectors of
the empire, but as the conflicts and rivalries between them they
were not able to maintain that. All believed that the aristocrats
had privilege in the political activities of the empire. It was the
class of society which was most beneficial class in the Roman
Empire
