This discussion is about a small analytics education business that I run and the manner in which I leverage social media to promote the business. As first steps, I have built a blog which describes the various software platforms that can be used for learning data science and analytics. In the blog, which is educational in nature, I have described many analytics and statistical algorithms in details and also advertised about my paid courses to which the user can subscribe for learning the implementation of these algorithms in real life case studies. The blog has got a visitor counter and also course selection catalogue as well as acts as a gateway to my educational portal after use selects the courses on the blog and makes the payment through an online wallet. The blog has also got an option for subscription to daily updates which implies that any new posts or development get posted to the subscriber’s mailbox automatically without him having to check the blog manually.
Additionally I have also created a Facebook page advertising my analytics offerings and the page also invites comments and feedbacks from users and subscribers. This acts as a validation and reviewing tool for me to improve my offering and also assures new customers about the quality of the offering.
Also there is a Youtube channel which is linked to the education portal, wherein all the videos are posted which describes the implementation of algorithms in different analytical tools and their performance in real life scenarios. The Youtube channel also is designed to attract more number of vistors and potential subscribers to paid courses.
