Ans:

It is indeed the truth that everything is being transformed from physical to virtual, whether it is databases, servers, operating systems etc, all the resources and services are virtualized and are handled by big companies like Amazon, Google. AWS (Amazon web service) provides you with enormous features, where in you do not require a man power to work, you simply need to request for the resources which are required for the project, and all the backend things are hanled, managed and assests by the service providers. These are smooth and are easy to use.
As it is making our work more and more easier, it has it's other side as well.

Some of the cons of having a virtualization are as follows:

  • You will no longer have the full control of your server, OS, or any other resources as they are managed by the service providers
  • There might be issues related to application compatibility that will require expert advice from knowledgeable vendors.
  • It may not be possible for you to upgrade your agreement plan in small increments that largely depends on vendor policies and service level agreement (SLA) they offer. You may need to put some efforts in finding suitable vendor according to your scalability requirements
Let me know if you have any doubts or if you need anything to change.

If you are satisfied with the solution, please leave a +ve feedback : ) Let me know for any help with any other questions.

Thank You!
