Viral diseases of the pathogenesis are the virus targetting the living body cells and causing infection to occur.
Here we are talking about a virus which is gaining entry to a cell by coding a particular protein, that prevents cellular response to the viral infection.
How to target that viral protein:
First of all, the virus is doing certain changes in the cell, for example, 1. It is misguiding cell energy, 2. Disarming the cells to produce any cell macromolecule, 3. It is putting its viral mRNA for cellular ribosomes, this is for protein synthesis, 4. Also, vitally it is competing for the cellular genetic material and starting to produce its own viral proteins.
How to prevent this viral infection now?
1. To target that protein we need to know the target viral mRNA. If we can stop its action, automatically protein production will be ceased. RNA silencing is the right method to act against the viral mRNA. Here the miRNA can be used for this purpose.
For the matter of fact, mi RNA is shown to be powerful regulators of post-transcriptional gene expression and they are ubiquitously expressed. They can specifically target protein-coding genes.
