Some of the most powerful danger or risks to good development would be the environment of the person. This environment has a number of aspects, which are as follows:

  • Family: this is the strongest danger or risk to the development of a person. For people having a healthy household develop a positive outcome. But for people having a distressed household, there would be Negative influences of the person, who may be subjected to psychological stresses and may enter depression or engage in substance abuse,
  • Economic distress: children coming up from households that have economic distress, will be prone to conduct disorders.
  • Influences and interventions: proper nurturing along with effective parenting would be promoting pro social behaviors as well as values. Also, it would be helping the children to be positive, along with developing competencies.
  • Peers: they form the most important influence in the life of a person.
  • School: this is the second most important institution after family that helps in development of an individual. From school, people form peers and peer groups, forming identities and involving oneself with others.
