Give an example of how you would use Monroe’s motivated sequence (A Minimum of 50 words)
discuss if You may agree, disagree, or clarify your opinion about the the monroe's motivated . (A Minimum of 50 words)
There are basically five steps in Monroe's motivated sequence. These steps tell us the procedures through which we can persuade audience during the speech session. These five steps are as following:-
1. Attention:- We should make an environment so that audience can pay attention to our speech. Getting the audience's attention is the prime concern because if people are not paying attention to our words then whole effort will go in vain.
2. Need:- In this step, we try to get the audience to see the problem. Identification of problem is very important because if problem is not there then there will be no motivation.
3. Satisfaction:- In this step, we explain audience various methods to fill their needs and wants. We should convince our audience with reasons that why our solution will work.
4. Visualisation:- We try to make audience in such a form so that they can feel and see the benefits of solution provided.
5. Action:- We inspire audience so that they can take effective action. Clear words should be used to direct the audience to perform a certain task with specific motive.
Suppose, we wish to give speech about smoking and its harms. First of all there will be need to grab the attention of people. This can be done through special quotes or through using some props. In next step, we will explain the problems caused by smoking.
Smoking affects many lives in our surrounding. It captures our mind and affect our efficiencies. By quitting it, a person may get enormous satisfaction. This will have to be explained to audience. We will have to use words so that they can visualise the problems created by smoking.
Various pictures and demonstrations can be provided to them in order to develop better understanding in their senses. Various motivational sentences can inspire audience to take remedial actions. We can motivate them for an action by connecting their ignorance with the harms caused to their family members.
Some linkages must be there which can provide a valid reason to act in a particular direction.
