Challenges faced by non profit organizations
1.Workforce
Non-profit organizations have a diverse workforce of volunteers and staff, with varied motivations and skills. There is however, a paucity of personnel with strong skills in information technology who are interested in working in the nonprofit sector in general.A different mindset people is always difficult to handle as the thinikng and the perception differs.To put everyone in a same path is a difficult thing to deal with.Its the most challenging task for any non profit organization.
2. Structure
Non-profit organizations are typically directed by an executive director, supported by a core staff that performs multiple functions, and volunteers who may assist in mission-based programs. The personnel in non profits resembles that in small business - each staff member takes on multiple roles and many tasks. While this is necessary to ensure all aspects of the work is completed, it is a limiting factor when considering technology adoption and innovation. Communicating within the organization is also very difficult in new organization.It can possible help in this area.
3.Funding
The non profits face funding issues as other start ups.Getting investors for a start up where there will be very less ROI is very difficult as compared to other start-ups.They face a larger challenge in this area.For this type of organization motivating people towards the goal of your organization.
