How is the capacity for self-awareness related to freedom? How is expanding of awareness a goal of this therapy? What are the implications for counseling of this notion?
Self-awareness is an art of knowing one's internal emotions and mental thoughts. It is an ability to monitor one's internal desire and fighting with our own emotions. And "YES" capacity for self-awareness is directly proportional to the freedom.
For explaining this I will take an example :
When we are a child our father support us from behind to teach us how to drive a bicycle as we start peddling at some distance our father also ran with us, after some moments as father knows one's of its children is doing great he lift up his hand. At that time we got some momentum in speed as well as in time also. Now if our mental stability and strengths are good, our capacity for self-awareness leads towards the doors of FREEDOM.
Now, as we know how to drive a bicycle without any hesitate we usually took a long ride, now this long ride teaches us two type of freedom:
Once we opt for Positive freedom our attitude automatically increases towards the good capacity for self-awareness .
Now, as we know how to drive a bicycle in the same manner as well as with same mental strength we also learn auto-gear bike, geared bike and learn car also. This is actually happening due to the expanding of our awareness.
Now, we know that how to drive a bicycle, auto-gear bike, geared bike and car.
For example, For going university you have three option:
Obviously, if you expanding your awareness you will opt for the car to reach early and in time which leads you towards your goals.
In such there are two implications:
