Yes I think I am an adult. these are the early stages of my sdulthood as some characteristics like changes in physical body regardimng muscles, sensory ability etc can be experienced. also i can observe changes in my mentality and the reasoning to the problems as well as emotional connectivity towards my family getting strengthened. hence i can say these changes which are related to early adulthood are present in me and i can be considered as an adult.
the five most important characteristics of the phase of adulthood are ranked below-
1. Biological transitions- biological changes due to molecular and cellular changes occur in adults. In early adulthood people become phyiscally mature icluding our muscle strength, reaction time, sensory ability and cardiac functioning. even the changes like stiffening and thickening of the eye lens, thin and grey hair, sensitivity to the decrease in sound, and dry and wrinkled skin are all symptoms showing early adulthood. this is a basic and a primary change which every person experiences because of standard changes in tghe body cells and internal organs. hence they are of the uttermost importance.
2. cognitive development- their are various changes in our cognitions during the adulthood. we begin to think more logically and in a more abstract way involving deductive reasoning. a more realistic and relativistic thinking develops in adulthood. this keeps on changing for the betterment of a person and our experiences also add to it. hence it is of the next importance as it shows that our experiences grow with our age.
3. emotional changes- healthy Gageing involves activities of social connection as well as cfonnection to the culture. for connection with the society as well as the culture we tend to show more compliance to the norms. people tend to make meaning of their lifes through these proceses and judge them on the basis of their interactions as well as the emotional connections. this stage is closely connected to the cognitive part and hence is ranked after it.
4. relationships and families- for our own wellbeing we develop relationships with other people as adults. people develop close, deep and strong relationships specially witrh their partners, children as well as parents. these are maintained till our adulthood lasts only and gradually dissipate during our old age. these are people we continously communicate with hence it is the next important characteristic for adults.
5. work life- it effects the status of a person in the society and after the stability as well as security in the society the concern that emrges is related to status. it effects all of the other gained assets as per the above ranking including fruends, family, mental peace, physical as well as psychological wellbeing etc. it also involves completion of studies and achieving a job with a good income as well as status along with recognition. it can only be helpful if we othehr things in hand and can also effect them negatively. hence i have placed them in the end.
