Carol .S Dweck is a world famous professor of Stanford university who is famous for her research on mindset. She was born in October 17 ,1946. Her major contribution to social psychology is about the implicit theory of intelligence. Dweck in his theory suggested that the success of people can be placed into two continuum of mindset. They are fixed mind set and growth mind set. The people with fixed mindset believes that their success is based on their innate capacity and they believe that their talents are fixed. The people with growth mindset believes that they succeeded because of their hand work, learning and training and that their talents can be improved through putting effort.
The research on growth mindset have a great impact on educational setting and it has a universal application as it encourages children to develop capacities.

As people with these mindsets are not adaptable to changes, this people may be labelled as hard minded personality and who are not flexible and adjustable.
