1. The causes of prejudices are our thoughts and beliefs against those who are different from us in color and appreances. The consequences of prejudice is that it creates discrimination, creating rifts and tension between the people,that takes away the harmony of life in society.
2. This teacher, taking the advantage of her position as a teacher told her pupils that certain color has more advantage than the other color of eye, hence, they should be treated specially. This created discrimination in the class,the students who belonged to the eye color favored by the teacher felt superior and they discriminated the others. The other group felt angry, sad and discriminated.
3. Prejudices are practised by verbal and non-verbal communication. The verbal and non-verbal carries the messages of discrimination and prejudices. Children learn about the prejudices while socialization and watching the verbal and non-verbal cues of the people around them.
4. The victimized feel angry, discriminated and resentful being the target of prejudices. This is shown in their day to day behavior and communication. There's always an aggression in the way they react to the discrimination they face each day due to prejudice, also, how they percieve about themselves with low self-esteem and self-respect.
5. This teaches about the truth of prejudice that is based on false assumption about people who are different from us. The impact of the the discrimination on the lives of the people that takes away their self esteem and self respect. The negative influence of the it on the peace, harmony and prosperity of our society. Prejudice snaps the humanity from human beings. Hence, there should always an self awareness regarding it and we should strive to eliminate it on our personal level.
