What is the role and achievements of American Civil Rights Movement to stop prejudice and racism in their Society during the sixties of the last century?
Answer -
There are many social activist who fought for individuals and civil and human rights and they gave their life to fought for the interest of civilians for their civil rights. For example :- luther king, ella baker who has given their life to provide all people equal rights and opportunities in every area and they always raise their voice against discrimination and prejudice. They also gave acceleration to civil right movement and other movement.
The role and objective of Civil rights during 60s of last century includes rights in relation to equal treatment of all people in the society, as all people are equally and no discrimination should be done with any one. Every person should have right to get right to education, right to vote, right to choose any religion etc. This movement also talked about fair treatment of all people and equal opportunity for jobs for all irrespective of their color or gender etc. This way racism and slavery was mitigate from that time period and people are more aware for their rights and they raise voice against wrong thing or discrimination.
