Karen Ann Quinlan was an American woman who died and her death became the important figure in history of right to die controversy in United States. She was born in March 29, 1954 and died in June 11, 1985. When she was died she was about 31 years old. When she was 21 she became unconscious and lapses into coma after consuming valium along with alcohol. Her parents requested that she should disconnect with her ventilator so she can at least die peacefully. From past 10 years she was on ventilator and because of moral ethics, humanity and because of medical profession ethics and moral values doctor and prosecutors denied her parents request of disconnecting her ventilator.
So it became the controversy in U.S that it is very inhuman to do such things but also everybody has a right to die when they are severely ill or no chance of recovery, patient attendants can allow to take every decision about patients.
In my opinion, we faced many cases like this almost every day, when there is no chance of recovery then in my opinion, soul let them go peacefully.
