Death and its concept are absolutely different in various
communities.For many communities it is real, then the end of one's
life is a simple termination. For many it is just a beginning and
the afterlife begins. And for some others it is just cycles of
birth and death .one death leads to the birth of another and the
cycle continues just like that.
In society, the nature of death and humanity's awareness of its own
mortality has for millennia been a concern of the world's religious
traditions and of philosophical inquiry. This includes belief in
resurrection or an afterlife (associated with Abrahamic religions),
reincarnation or rebirth (associated with Dharmic religions), or
that consciousness permanently ceases to exist, known as eternal
oblivion (associated with Secular humanism).
How comfortable are people talking about your own mortality.?
Many times people are not at all comfortable speaking regarding their own death. They become Very sensitive To these topics . Many patients don't Want to talk about their disease or their current state. Increasing psychological stress and agony also causes refusal to talk and engage in a conversation. They get offended easily, abuse those around them and add on to their misery.

All healthcare workers are trained to attend patients who face death every day.It's not very uncommon to find people disclosing their fears about death to the healthcare worker. The patient expects empathy and compassion from the healthcare worker. So with experience the healthcare worker learns to tackle the fear of the patient and become more and more comfortable in handling situations like that. The nurse has to take lot of precautions while discussing such seen sensitive issues to the patient himself. Many a times even the health care worker might get concerned emotionally. It's not easy for anyone to be at the side of a person who expects his end soon,
Health care worker has to approach this with professionalism and take even the grave events lightly so that he or she can extend their service to the next person in need. It's never easy . It need peer support counseling and experience to face such a situation with courage and move on to the next patient.
