Discuss two strategies that can be used for leading change. How do these strategies increase stakeholder support and create momentum for a change initiative to be successful? Why might you want to consider including the most vocal critic of the change initiative in your guiding team?
following are the strategies for change management & how these strategies help & guide the team
1) Lewis change model:
Lewin conceived of change as modification of those forces keeping a system’s behaviour stable. Specifically, a particular set of behaviours at any moment in time is the result of 2 groups of forces that is people striving to maintain status quo & those pushing for change.
A successful change involves three elements: Unfreezing. Movement, Refreezing.
Unfreezing – Occurs when the change agent convinces members of the group to change or when guilt, anxiety, or concern can be elicited.
Movement – the change agent identifies, plans, and implements appropriate strategies, ensuring that driving forces exceed restraining forces. Sets goals, target dates to implement the change. Whenever possible we are going to try to implement change gradually.
Refreezing – the change agent assists in stabilizing the system change so that is becomes integrated into the status quo.
2) Positive Model:
This focuses on what the organization is doing right. It helps members understand their Organization when it is working at its best and builds off those capabilities to achieve even better results. It is nothing but Best Practices sharing and scaling up. Inquire the best practices, discover the themes, envision a preferred future, design & develop ways to create future.
