I completely love the subject of psychology since I took it. I
have liked so many theories so far, I could also relate the same to
my personal life for eg. the
- Freud theory of id, ego and super ego, the levels of
unconsscious. The concept of ice berg etc, I was very fascninated
by his theories.
- Similarly the the theory of Carl Jung in which he described
persoanlity types of introvert and extrovert.
- The Maslow's theory of needs, the hierarchy. It is so
beautifully potrayed.Though everypne knows that food, clothing and
shelter are the basic needs but maslow focused more in the safety,
self grpwtn, self actualization needs etc. They are very real as we
apply them to our daily lives.
- The Eric Erickson's theory development right from childhhood
till old age, what problems are faced by the people is more or less
accurate. His theory is unline Freud, who give a lot of emphasis om
unconscious and not on the reality.
- Similarly as far as Child developent is concerned it was Jean
Piaget, Bowlyboy who brought into notice that cognitive learning
takes place right at the baby stage and what problems are
associated in adulthood if the babies are not well taken care.
- The theories of learning such as of Pavlov, Skinner operant and
classical conditioning plays a major role. The reeinforcement and
stimuleses, responses have played a major role in understading the
human behaviour esp at work place.
- Similarly the persoanlity type tests developed by cattel mayer
briggs, Big Five throw light on various aspects of personality, and
by taking such tests one come to know his/her own area of interest
and can work in that way.
