Discuss a time in your life that you were certain of a thing, but later found out that you were wrong. What was this experience like? Thinking back on it now, were there any signs that could have alerted you that you were wrong about that thing? If so, why were you unable to recognize them at the time? What beliefs do you currently hold about yourself and/or the world around you that you might be wrong about? Discuss in at least a paragraph.
When i turned into a young college student, i was very passionate about earning money. Gradually, i attempted to comprehend the ways to initiate and run a business and earn a lot.
I strived too much and believed that money is the backbone of this very life. But one fine morning, i came across an interview of a very popular businessman who announced retirement from business. This player asserted in the interview that he never went to drop o pick up his daughter to/ from school. He was always busy making money.
This incidence indeed opened my eyes and i realised that merely making money is no fun. Money may be necessary upto some line but beyond it, happiness and satisfaction matter. These reflect better from the smaller facets of the life- like dropping and picking up daughter from school.
I express my gratitude to the creator that i realised the signals that i was going in the wrong direction. Today, i endeavour to create a win- win situation and thereby blossom. I concentrate on business for a pre- decided time and further indulge in some hobbies and spend quality time with family and friends with a deep realisation that these are more valuable than money that fetches only materialistic pleasure which is perishable.
