In 2 typed-written pages, describe a stressful time in your life and discuss how you were able to get through it. What happened to you at that time and how did your mind and body react? What coping strategies did you use and what did you learn?
Answer -
Stressful time :- I remember the time when I was in school and used to eat too much junk and oily food which was is not good for health. I didn't realize that due to that my cholesterol level is getting high and I m facing stomach problems which includes acidity, constipation and heaviness in head. Due to this I was not able to concentrate in exams and too worried for academic performance.
Following way I overcome from the situation :-
I consulted a doctor who advised me to quit junk and oily food. I was in stress and facing anxiety issue. Being a foodie person it was not easy for me to adopt healthy diet structure in my daily routine.
Initially I found too much difficulties and challenges in quitting oily and junk food. It was difficult for me to avoid tasty food, however my cholesterol level was high then, I realized that I need to quit unhealthy food.
Coping strategies :-
As I decided that once in a week I would eat junk and oily food.
That day I call as cheat our day. It means only one day I would eat
any food and rest of 6 days of week I would eat healthy food like
vegetables, fruits, juice, almonds, etc.
I used to smoke and drink earlier and when I realize that it cause
me cough and sinusitis problem.
I started reducing the quantity of ciggarette and drink. And day by day I reduce the amount and quantity and finally I quitted it permanently. Finally I got success in adopting healthy diet structure in my daily routine. I also do exercise on daily basis and yoga(pranayama) which reduces the chances of weight gain, also balances the cholesterol level, control diabetes and sugar level etc. This way I m healthy now and left behind all bad habits.
These habits would positively impacting my health as I get older, visualizing my midlife (age 30- 65) and senior years (age 65 and above). As exercise and Healthy food is necessary in all ages and it is best way to be healthy for long time. These habits keep your immune system strong and enable the metabolism system perform well.
