Children are the product of their environment such as, parenting, education, culture, social norms etc. This would mean that children spend more time in the school apart from their homes. Teachers are the architects who shape the future citizens of a country. In a country such as the USA, children hail from various socio-cultural and economic backgrounds making the society and classrooms more complicated for the teachers. However, teachers have the moral responsibility to instil the concept of equality among the children by making them work in mixed groups and providing opportunities through activities to understand the importance of accepting, acknowledging and adopting the good things from other cultures. Educational institutions can provide enough space for the children to understand others in order to grow as color blind and culture blind citizens who would create a society that would thrive on equality.
