Achieving goals- It is certain that while running any business, it is essential to be aligned with the organizational goals and objectives. Therefore, in order to do this, it is indispensable to keep the team together, motivate employees intrinsically to work towards the common organizational goals and remove the roadblocks from their path in order to achieve this effectively.

Bringing out the best in employees and dealing with unproductive ones- The biggest challenge that managers face nowadays is to help their employees align their work goals along with the personal goals so that they know ‘what’s in it for them’. This is done by helping facilitate an emotionally enabling and supportive environment at work. To help them be constantly motivated is a task that an effective manager can fulfil, thereby making it a huge challenge for them.

Hiring the right people and identifying talent- It is essential that while recruiting, the correct choices are made in order to hire the right people at the first place. Making incorrect choices at this point can bring about a heavy load at the organizational level at later points.

Responding to crisis and aiming at continuous improvement: Another hurdle in the way of managers nowadays is to manage crisis situations and find immediate solutions thereafter. This means that being ‘on the toes’ is the only manner in which one can survive the corporate hurdles on a day to day basis. Aiming at continuous improvement and enhancing the work output/quality of work is something that a manager needs to constantly work towards. The most challenging here is to keep the motivation level in oneself, and of the employees in order to ensure commitment and consistency.
