Supply Chain Management(SCM) is a management which has a planning of purchasing the products and distributing and operations are involved.Its a sequence of process that is involved with purchasing the materials,manufacturing the prpoducts and finally delivering the product to the users.This the meaning of the supply chain management.

SCM in health care environment,so many things are needs to be ensure in health care industry by supply chain.It plays a major role in all the industry.Its not only supplies the medicines,but also the other surgical items that are used in the health care units.The communication between all the suppliers needs to be well maintained to survive in the supply chain system.Supply chain starts right from the basic things that are carried out in health care.

The supply chain is to purchase the products and record all the products that are purchased or manufactured of products.It has to manage all the activities right from the product produced to supply and reaching to the Cutomers.The activities that are need to be carried after the production or manufacture the product si to be supplied to the suppliers and again it will monitor the product that reach to the customers.

Major production of medicines and manufacture of surgical items,medical devices that are used in the health care and finally pharmaceuticals.If an organization is able to deliver and manufacture the materials that are used in the health care and supply the products in time.Manufactureres main task is to deliver the goods on time through which they can maintain the proper communication with the users.Storage and guarding the production is also added work to the manufacturing companies.Most of the items will be damaged during shifting the materials.Production management is also involved to manage the produced goods in an order.If the prpoduced goods are arranges in the right order it will be easy for the manufacture industry to deliver the produucts on priority.

Product distribution is also a big task to deliver the product to the customers/users.Most of the product orders are not delivered with in the given time.So planning the distribution of products is also plays a cruial role.Mostly the health care products are delicated as drugs are stores in glass materials and few medicines are need to be stored in proper temperature.While distributing the products the distributor or suppliers should pack the products as per materials.The purchasers includes wholesellers and distributors who can purchase bulk orders to deliver in the market or to sell in the market for best prices.

Later the products after manufacture,distribution and reach to the users and healthcare organizations like hospitals,physicians,medical stores,Pharmacies,Clinics and nursing homes.These buyer will buy the products from the suppliers and users will buy the products with these organizations.

Supply chain is the challenging task which cannot be carried out in an easy way in includes skilled and active people o meet the challenges and act according to the incidence is more important.There are so many incidence that has to face in order to deliver any kind of product or service.Which needs proper initiation and implementaion and monitor to carryuout all the activities in a sequencial manner.Especially in health care there should be proper staorage of products and monitor,close monitor of products will save the space /area and when required can easily access the products.

There are issues that occures while proper orders and adeqaute products are not available,because as we are discusing the supply chain in health care which drug requires when cannot be notified.The management has to place a person to che;ck the stock and availability of products that are daily used in health care units.They have to monitor the product life cyclye(manufactured and expired dates),and orders are placed according to their expiry dates.So that we can avoid the wastage of the drugs.Most of the drugs are high in price,But still there are enoiugh margings in order to grow in the health care strategic SCM is important.

The management that is working in the health care should estoimate the products that are required on daily basis and maintain proper stocks to be available to the patients.Patients health is more important than all these analysis.Demand drugs should be manitained in the industry if the drug has huge demand than its tough to get the product with in the time.Proper estimation and maintaining of the stock and ordering the stock is crucial in the industry.
