The marriage and family counselling is that addresses the behaviours of the family members and the way they these behaviours affect not only individual family members, but also the relationships between the family members and the family unit as a whole.

1. commitment in marriage and family: commitment means making marriages work with common values. Commitment is important because we act differently when we know that our futures are tied together. commitment is where we have to give up our choices though it sounds difficult it brings freedom and happiness in life if both have the same commitments.The two major stages of commitment are making the initial commitment and keeping the commitment. both the husband and wife might have come from different families with different backgrouds but both has to commit themselves and has to share all the values and should stick on to the commitment.

2. adaptability in marriage and family: Adaptability in marriage offers the ability for both husband and wife to grow and change their rolls within the family according to what is going on at the time. It grows and molds itself to the environment and current needs. . A good marriage always owns growth mindset, where both husband and wife should learn and believe that they can improve and change their lives with both of their efforts, which makes their lives more relevant and useful.

3.Authority in the marriage: Husband and wife are equal in essence, dignity and value so both of them has to be given equal authority. Generally speaking husbands have authority over the wifes in marriage because husband was the bread winner for the family, but now a days women are flourishing in all areas and sharing the responsbility of the family, this gender based differentiation has become unfair and outdated. Both malke equal rights and have equal authorities.

4. communication in marriage and family:Communication is compared with the flow of river between husband and wife and the family. When thoughts, feelings flows smoothly between marriage partners they feel good and helps support everyone around them. If any difficulties arise in the family the voice of positive thoughts will bring in them a good feeling. When communication becomes turbulent its potentially dangerous and destructive. so, communication with good understanding in the family will create a positive and healthy environment even to the society and community.
