Some people believe that corporal punishment is an effective way of raising properly behaved children, and ensuring proper conduct in schools. What is your take on this? Support your argument with good and logical reasons.
Corporal punishment is the use of physical pain to discipline a person, especially minors. Some people think that this is an effective way to make sure that children behave in schools and at homes. But according to me, this is something that should be illegal in all countries.
Corporal punishment is the use of fear to make children behave in a set pattern. Children who face such abuse are subjected to lifelong mental scars. They have to carry such metal tortures which sometimes resurfaces in other phases of their lives.
Children should be taught the need for a discipline in their attitude and behaviour not by scaring them but by showing them the advantages of leading such a life. They should be inspired by highlighting how their role models achieved such great heights by adopting such a style of leading a life.
The lines get very blurred when people use the excuse of corporal punishment as a boon when they hit children. It should be recognized that being naughty is not being bad. It is just another step towards development. They need to be taught to respect the privacy of others and how their actions should not affect anyone in a negative manner even when they are being naughty.
Corporal punishment reduces the self-confidence of the children. They live in fear of expressing themselves fully as they do not want to be misunderstood and ultimately get punished for it.
Individuals who faced corporal punishment when they were young also suffer from anger issues. They carry so many emotions locked inside of them that they get irritated and fussed very easily.
Ultimately all of this creates a negative human being that continues to live in the past while they move on towards the future.
