Expert Solution

**On $ 10000 budget can be enough for lower end security systems but if high end hardware and softwares are required to provide perimeter security , we need more money for that and so with this allocated budget we can only provide weak security solution here .

So , we should focus on highly sensitive and effective systems like

  • Border router : they direct traffic into, out of, and within our networks. It is the last router you control before an untrusted network such as the Internet

  • Firewalls : It is a checkpoint  device with set of rules specifying what traffic it will allow or deny to pass through it. A firewall typically picks up where the border router leaves off and makes a much more thorough pass at filtering traffic.

  • IDSs/Intrusion Detection Systems that sets of alert for network administrator

  • IPSs/Intrusion Prevention System that prevents the attack in addition to notifying it to administrator

**2 examples are:

1)First American Financial Corp(2019) : 885 million records were affected and

2) Marriott International (2018) : 500 million records were afected

All these incidents caused these corporates to loose millions of dollars in terms of stock and other valuations !!
