Divorce Discussion
This is a big one - and very hard for a lot of people - We have 3 of our kid's friends going through divorces right now. It is really a struggle for all the parties concerned. All three of them are caused by infidelity (affairs).
I want you to think about a divorce.. and how it effects the family members from different ages.. Think about cognitive development, moral development and even language development when you post your comments.
Do not forget old people!! The families Parents and grandparents.
One of the most important things that shatters a family is divorce. Although divorce has its own psychological, emotional, relationship, financial impacts on the parties concerned, it would be the lives of the children that would be at a great risk. This would mean that children would lose the opportunity to live with both the biological parents which would have lots of psychological and behavioural issues because they wouldn’t have anyone to motivate, guide and direct them. Secondly, if it is mutual it would do some good for the two people involved but if it is a forced divorce, especially when one of the partners is a dependent and the other forces divorce, it would make them helpless. Thirdly, if the partners have dependent parents, they would be lost without their support. They would be forced to go to elderly homes. Thus, divorce is a monster that would rip families apart and cause more stress and hardships.
