Solutions

Expert Solution

  • I applied for a managerial position. The best interview question that I was asked was: In case of a conflict within your team how would you ensure that business objectives expected from your team are still achieved. I consider it as the best question because it was very relevant to the role I was applying to and as a manager every now and then I will be facing such situations so it was important for the organization to understand my mindset as well. I responded that I would be first understanding the conflict, and then would talk one on one to the employees who are facing issues, this will help in understanding the conflict and would help me tackle the situation and in the worst case I will alter the process of the person who is getting troubled.
  • Most inappropriate question asked was what your marital status is. This was completely irrelevant and was not relatable to the profile I was applying for. I responded very calmly and told them the status but also asked them how this was relevant to my profile of which I did not get a satisfactory response.
