Prejudice : The process of thinking negatively about a person because that person belong to specific group. In this process, we basically believe that people are in that specific group are bad people. We will think negatively about individuals in those groups because they belong to that specific group. It is an attitude. It is a cognitive bias.

Causes Of Prejudice:

  • Considering superficial characteristics while judging others.
  • Lack of critical thinking.
  • Believing others words blindly.

How can we avoid prejudice:

  • Don't try to judge others based on his group.
  • Enable critical thinking.

Discrimination: Discrimination is the result of prejudice. Because of prejudice about a person, people will avoid him. People will insult him. People don't allow that person to use his rights. People will behave in negative way with that person. This is a behavior.

Causes of Discrimination:

  • Very strong prejudice
  • If others are minorities, discrimination takes place.
  • Lack of critical thinking.

How to decrease discrimination:

  • Decrease prejudice.
  • Be kind about others especially about weak people.
