Q4) Steel Joists framing into a joist grider at 5' o.c produce …? loads on the grider
1. The process of determining how load travels through structural system and how much load is supported by each element is known as structural analysis. structural analysis is a method by which we determine internal forces developed in structure and behaviour of structure when it is subjected to excitation.
2. The portion of floor roof system a structural element supports is known as its load elements. as the loads on these supports comes from roof/floor etc. it may be continuous support or simple support. it is basically the beam/girder/ column element which supports the roof or floor.
3. A concrete slab spanning across a steal beam produces a transverse sagging load on the beam. its the load of slab (dead +live) which comes on beam transversely.
4. steel joists framing into a joist girder at 5'o.c produce an eccentric load on girder. due to joist eccentric loading is there which would lead to additional moments on girder.
