topic- how food travels through the body

I would like to know how a salad, French fries or concentrated sweets are digested.  If you were teaching a basic lesson on digestion, how would you describe the digestive process and what does the body do if eating salad or French fries, is there a difference? where hormones and enzyme information begins about how the activities vary depending on the food.

The goal is to understand what happens to the food when the body digests it and how does the body respond. This entire assignment should just be a couple of paragraphs, concise description is what I'm looking for.

(To help you out as an example, when you eat fat the gallbladder secretes bile made by the liver but if you eat an apple that doesn't happen.  This will allow you to understand how digestion works.)

Salad moslty is made up of mostly more of carbohydrates ,fibres and less of protein.French fries are mostly more of carbohydrates, fats and less of protein.Concentrated sweets are mostly of fats followed by carbohydrates. The salad and french fries will not have the same digestion as french fries would have to underfo fat digestion that salad would not undergo.

For salad , french fries and sweets digestion would begin from the mouth for the carbohydrates where salivary amylase enzyme would break the polysaccharides.Next,in the stomach, gastric juice secretion stimulated by hormone gastrin would act and amylase action would stop.Next the pancreas would release sodium bicarbonate in response to secretin hormone and cholecystokinin hormone initiates release of pancreatic amylase that would breakdown polysaccharide into disaccharide and maltase released from small intestione breaks down disaccharides into monasaccharide units of glucose that are then absorbed through the small intestineinto the blood stream. The fibres in the salad that are digested even though they are carbohydrates. The soluble fiber go on to become gel-like thick mass in the small intestines and insoluble fiber remains unchanged during the entire process of digestion.

French fries and concentrated sweet contain more of fat and their digestion first begins in mouth through action of lingual lipase followed by emptying of bile from gall bladder in response to cholecystokinin hpormone which results in emulsification of fats and formation of micelles.Next pancreatic lipase is secreted that break down fat into fatty acids and monoglycerides and absorbed thorugh small intestine.

Little of protein is digested mostly in stomach and small intestine by action of pancreatic enzymes trypsin, pepsin, chymotrypsin and carboxypeptidase that breakdown proteins into polypeptides, peptides and aminoacids that are absorbed through the small intestine.

I would like clarification on the movement of current. I have heard that current travels "path of least resistance", but I have never fully grasped the concept. I understand that current travels from higher potential to lower potential so does that mean that the higher the potential, the greater the resistance and therefore current travels path of least resistance?
