Understand the functions of sensory organs; we need to be specific about the organ responsible for the respective sense.
Smell- for the perception of smell, the receptor in the nostrils of a human nose converts the olfactory sensations to electrical impulses which are then converted to the Brain for processing and then the brain detects what it that it probably smells is.
Taste- Taste receptors on the tongue of a human being is able to detect slightest of changes in the flavor of element that is put in the mouth and then converted into electrical impulses that can be transferred to the Brain for processing of the taste.
Touch- skin is the biggest sensory organ of all in any individual because it surrounds the whole of the human body. There are minute receptors under the skin of a human being which are able to detect the sensation of touch and convert it into neurological impulses that can then be transferred to the brain that either for the sensation of touch or through recognized that there is a probable foreign object on the body.
Hearing- when sound is produced by the vibration of the air particles in the the atmosphere it transferred to the eardrum which is Present inside the cavity of a ear which then vibrates a thin membrane to convert the analogical vibrations into impulses recognizable for the brain. Hearing plays a vital role in balancing and spatial cognition.
Vision- one of the most important and complex sensory organs is the eyes, which take the information present in the Light that is falling on the retina of the eye can transfers that information via the optical tube into the brain which helps us visually which is a very important aspect of human beings when it comes to evolution and development.
