The group that has wider acceptance in the society and majority of the people follow its cultures, ethics, terms and conditions forms the basis of who we are and how we wish to progress ahead is the dominant group. This is the group which has the maximum say in our decisions and thought processes. It defines our outlook to life and the manner in which we wish to progress. I feel prejudice, discrimination and racisim are very much visible in our culture and in our culture and in our society. For the very personal experience i would like to talk about the incident which took place in my house last week. My grand mother was cooking food for us. The house maid came with her child, The baby also demanded food be given to her. So my grandmother took out a separate utensil for them and served them in it. I later got to know that since they were Muslims and did not belong to our caste, we could not eat in the same area or same utensils and it is a sin. I was shocked to see this level of difference being practiced in my place as well.
