In their relationship with minority groups, dominant groups have six policies. multiculturalism, assimilation, segregation, internal colonialism, population transfer, and genocide. What policies do you think whites are following with African Americans. Native Americans, Latinos, and Asian Americans?

Solutions

Expert Solution

Ans.

In this case, you can actually find a glimpse of almost all of these policies. You can find lots of examples in American society where both African Americans and whites are living together happily while on the other hand you can find tussels between them causing segregation.

Genocide is ofcourse not possible at mass scale in a democratic society like America but we also have laws and regulate such things like genocide.

But you can find out glimpse of segregation and internal colonialism at a large scale. While on the other sides in many cities, you can find out multiculturalism but I have also heard from many African Americans that they are paid less for the same work and even the FBI's report say that most of the crimes of hate and anger are done by blacks due to segregation of them caused by whites and also because of racism. Hence we can find out all of these policies here at different places.

In regions where tolerant white people living with blacks will have more glimpse of assimilation and multiculturalism while regions where intolerance is there and the society is over sensitive, you can find out glimpse of other.

I hope the answer is clear to you, in case you have any query, please leave a comment, we will try our best to fix it. If you are satisfied with the answer, leave a thumbs up, your support is valuable. Thank You
