Answer- Chromosome in metaphase are aligned at the metaphase plate.
Mitosis can be divided into four stages- Prophase, metaphase, anaphase, and telophase. Prophase is the stage during which chromosome condense, During metaphase, chromosome align at the metaphase plate During Anaphase, the chromosome align they move towards opposite poles. In telophase, the chromosome reaches the opposite poles.
Answer- Nuclear envelope disappear during prophase. The actual chromosome becomes visible during prophase, as they condense.
