question 2
As we know a virus is something between a living and non living state. Virology, replication, lifecycle differ with each species. Here COVID-19 causative agent Corona virus mainly target epithelial cells of human respiratory system.
Virus structure: Like any other virus it consist of a genome +RNA (single stranded) and envelope containing spike protein.
1.Attachment: proteins on the capsid (envelope) of virus interact with specific receptors present on the plasma membrane
2.Penetration:spike protein envelope binds to the ACE2 cellular receptor present in the plasma membrane, this brings about alterations in the cell membrane which permits the entry of virus.
3. uncoating:outer envelope is removed and the genomic +RNA will be realsed into the cytoplasm.
4.Replication: ribosome of the host cell Translate the genomic rna into 2 poly protein named as poly protein1a(pp1a) and poly protein 1ab(pp1ab).
These poly proteins are proteolysed into bunch of smaller proteins. Which latter involves in the replication and transcription ,Replicase and Transcriptase complex .Complex (smaller protein)combine with the genomic RNA and facilitate Replication. It produces -RNA. This RNA- can be either replicated into original genomicRNA or transcripted into viral proteins.
5.Assembly:Virions are formed by the combination of genomic RNA and nucleocaspid Proteins.
6.Release:The formed virions are released by exocytosis.
