Jeffery Arnett talked about the social shifts that have occurred in the last 40 years that have opened the way for emerging adulthood to exist. Name and define two of these social shifts, and explain how they have allowed for people to delay adult roles in emerging adulthood.
Answer- Many social transitions have taken place in the last 40 years. One of them is the trasition to adulthood which has become longer and happen later in life than previous such as the entry to stable work, marriage and parenthood. According to Jeffery Arnett, this emerging adulthood starts from age 18 years and 29 years. According to him, the two main social changes that contributed to the rise of emerging adulthood-
