conscious of my generation to become a change-maker, what kind of difference do I want to make as human and consumer? explain as much as possible.
In my personal opinion, the gravest danger facing humanity right now is environment change and global warming. And hence, the differences that I want to make- both as a human and as a consumer, are related to this particular danger only.
As a human, I want to not only make others aware of environment change, I want to make conscious choices everyday. I want to make choices that reduce my carbon footprint, reduce environmental damage I do and contribute in saving the planet. These include using less water, less electricity, less resources wherever possible, use public transport etc. As a human, it is also my duty to encourage and educate my fellow humans about global warming and environment damage that we cause- knowingly or unknowingly. I should endevour to also help anyone trying to adopt a less polluting lifestyle.
As a consumer, I have made many decisions about my consuming habits. I have stopped eating meat. I have also made sure that I use products that affect the environment least- even if they are expensive. This includes buying organic products, bio-degredable consumables. It also includes buying electrical cars. I have stopped using some products altogether. These include tissue paper, leather, fur etc.
As a human and consumer, I am trying to make the above mentioned differences.
