School counselling is necessary in each and every school. There should be a specific counsellor apart from teacher which can be for students whenever they require. Our school counsellors often had following programmes or startegies which made them more effective.

1. Incorporation of other children such as slow learners or hyper active children, the counsellors used to explain us about how to help those kids. Try to help them in studies, show them love and care.

2. Encouraging more reading, peaceful behaviour, helping , listening, sharing, caring etc. Once in amoth there used to lecture in the free period an all of these. And how these things are important.

3. They played a major role, while during the teenage or prior to that by telling why there is menstruation, importance, then gathering funds for buying sanitary napkins, ow to dispose that? and why not to be shy because of it.

4. We had sperate session of girls and boys at the age of 15 showing what changes a person undergoes through, showing biological video. and showing how it is natural. This automatically reduced out curiosity towards physical changes as things were told in scientific ways.

5. There were also sessons for high school students telling them about disadvanatges of bullying, or any addictions. Why it is harmful and what are the causes. Many students used to talk about their problems on one to one basis which proved out to helpful for the students in knoing themsleves
