(a) Describe the benefits of regarding internal colleagues as customers and/or suppliers.

internal colleagues or internal customers are those customers who  has a relationship with your company, though the person may or may not purchase the product. It is often a person who works within the company,

for example- a courier company is the internal customer because he distribute our products to end customers but do not purchase it actually. or supplier who provides raw materials for production. or managers or employee of different department who helps each other by sharing business information.

benefits are-

  • efficient production because supplier provide raw materials in time.
  • meeting the demand because timely production helps to meet the end customer's demand.
  • good relationship with suppliers.
  • supplier provide relevant information about the market to the company.
  • managers like internal colleagues as supplier helps to provide information to other department which could help to achieve the business objectives.

(b) Explain why it is important to develop positive relationships with other internal managers in the organisation.

internal manaers are manager of different department like marketing manager, production manager, finance manager etc.it is important to develope positive relationships because-

  • each activity like production,sales,finance & marketing is dependent to each other.
  • positive relation helps in efficient working like information from finance department like budget helps to estimate the cost of production & quantity of production under the budget.
  • the performance of the company increases if positive relationships are maintained.
  • conflicts would be rare to occur if positive relatioships are maintained with internal managers.

(c) Describe the factors you would take into account to ensure constructive discussions with an internal managerial colleague whose team’s performance is preventing your team from achieving its goals.

if other team performance is preventing our team of our manager to achieve its goals then following factors can be taken into the account-

  • improve & suggest our team members to improve our performance so that other team's performance would be good but our would be better.in this way, both team would perform better & no loss to company.
  • suggest them not to interfere in our team's work but can ask for our help in any situation.
  • compare & evaluate the performance of our team with other team & check what is wrong & correct that.
