Q. 1 Option D is correct. Batch equibirium test is done to observe adsorption of chemicals on soil samples (hardly 50 to 200 gm maximum). Sorption Isotherm are plotted in this test to analyse the variation of the adsorption with respect to equilbirium concentration. No breakthrough curve is obtained from this test. Soil sample in small quantities are done. In this test transit time is not studied, only sorption capacity is,studied.

Q.2. Option B is incorrect in respect of phase approach. In phase approach data obtained at site is first processed and analysed and then iterpreted. This is not done on site. All other options are correct.A fixed work plan must be strictly followed in the phased approach. A fixed offsite laboratory is needed for the chemical analysis on the collected samples. All the samples are sent to this laboratory for analysis. Same approach of testing is adopted in each phase in phased approach.
