Current federal policy actually encourages competition amongst healthcare organizations and providers. This is in disagreement with the current trend of hospital mergers and acquisitions. So, the question is what is the impact of competition on the delivery of care? Discuss the origins of non-price competition. Compare this to the new trend of price competition. Discuss the impact of this switch? In what way do the patients, providers, and organizations benefit? Is there one group that doesn’t?
Consistent competition in the Healthcare industry is directly
driving the change in the overall Health Care provision and the way
the Healthcare is provided. Availability of technological
advancement as well as tools and techniques to influence the
patients are creating a huge difference in operational conditions
of new medical facilities. Competition is consistently increasing
which is creating a negative impact on availability of
opportunities for different medical facilities as well as directly
affecting overall price of the Medicare as per it is divided into
different plans. Technological advancement does have increase the
quality of the Medical Services but it has also played a very
important role in increasing the overall level of influence and
awareness of the specific job profile in the respective
environment.
Previously the organisations were delivering the services on the
basis of the care and the quality of care given to the patient. Now
price is the second determinant of the quality. Most organisations
are assist with the criteria of price where higher the price better
the service concept is heavily used. G this is specific structure
of pricing is definitely decreasing the overall quality of care
directly creating a competitive just like any other form operating
in general condition.
