Speak to the current state of healthcare from a government policy and reform point of view. You can address healthcare reform as a proponent of the Affordable Care Act or against it.
In a current scenario, Affordable Care Act is repealed and American Health Care Act is in place to help people fight with the rising cost of health care. As a part of reform of the health care sector, I would like to support the features and benefits of the affordable care act(ACA), as it was meant to deliver benefits to those who were most needy, a reform that was pro-poor and helped them get the cost effective treatment as well as covering the Medicare and Medicaid. ACA helped to get reimubrsement of medicines to the poors, covering people with preexisting diseases and regulated service providers to focus upon quality, other than employers to give insurance with certain conditions. These reforms were palpable. Though ACA also came with some controversies regarding the funds required for the program and implementation of ACA. But, the ACA meant to reform and help poor who really required support in health care.
New American Health Care Act, brought reforms, but it removed important elements of the ACA that were helpful to poor. Rather, American Health care Act, became pro to the organization who were to give coverage to the employees. So, ACA were more reform oriented and supportive, in comparison to the American Health Care Act.
