Explain the preparation of polycrystal thin film and single crystal thin film from raw material polymers?

Solutions

Expert Solution

Step 1

An apparatus magnetron of radio frequency sputtering is required for preparation of single crystal thin film and poly crystal film as well. Reflection high energy electron diffraction also needed along with magnetron.

Step 2

Preparation of single crystal thin film.

Clean and polished lithium oxide with methyl complex is heated to 600 C0 for about an hour to get clear surface for the formation of film.

On the other hand manganese oxide with methyl complex also heated for the formation of film.

Both the solution put of reflux for 2 hour dissolved in benzene as solvent. After getting evaporating the solutions separately they both mixed in chloroacetyl chloride and again put on reflux for 6 hour to produce Li-Mn-O precursor solution.

After refluxing the solution proceeded through spin coating and polishing with heat treatment and single crystal of thin film of LiMn_2O_4 obtained.

Step 3

Preparation of poly crystal thin film.

Clean and polished venedium pentaoxide complex is heated to 600 C0 for about an hour along with bismuth complex with ferric oxide to get clear surface for the formation of film.

On the other hand calcium oxide also heated for the formation of film.

Both the solution put of reflux for 2 hour dissolved in benzene as solvent. After getting evaporating the solutions separately they both mixed in chloroacetyl chloride and again put on reflux for 6 hour. For dissolving bismuth complex glacial acetic acid and nitric acid also required. After 6 hour Bi-V-O precursor solution obtained.

After refluxing the solution proceeded through spin coating and polishing with heat treatment and poly crystal of thin film of BiCa_2Fe_4VO_1_2 obtained.
