Happy Dog inc produces three types of dog food. Puppy blend is produced for dogs that are less than 1 year old. Adult bed for dogs between 1 and 8 years old, and Geriatric blend for dogs over 8 years old. Each bag has a unique recipe that requires, among other ingredients, exact quantities of certain raw materials. Formulate a linear porgramming model that produces as many bags of dog food as possible without exceeding the demand or the available supply of raw material.
Let X1 = number of 4lb bags of Puppy blend produced;
X2= number of 4 lb bags of adult blend produced, and
X3 = number of 4 lb bags of geriatric blend produced. The table below has additional data.
Objective function: Maximize Z = ___X1 + ____X2 + _____ X3 (please enter responses in whole numbers.
Please provide step by step instructions and how to set up in excel using solver function.
