Solutions

Expert Solution

I am giving you an answer to both the questions:

4. Hotel is a part of the hospitality industry and in the hospitality industry, especially in hotels one of the important success factors is service quality. Service quality has many factors and one of the important factors is the people who are responsible for maintaining excellence in service quality. In order to create excellent service quality, the staff at the hotel must understand the local language and culture. If the staff are completely aware of the different elements and etiquette of local culture, taste, and preference, they would be able to deliver the superior quality of service.

Therefore, the biggest challenge would be to know the local language and culture.

5. In order to overcome the challenges of language and knowledge about local culture, my expectation from the hotel would give me training on language and culture of the host nation of the hotel. Training will help in understanding the culture and knowing the local dialect and language. This will build my confidence and will be able to serve the custoemer in a much better way.
