The way we look at leaders,” says Arkadi Kuhlmann,
“has changed, and who we follow has become ever more situational.”
According to one researcher, situational
leadership
evolved from a task-oriented versus people-oriented continuum….
representing the extent that the leader focuses on the required
tasks or focuses on relations with followers…. Task-oriented
leaders define roles for followers, give definite instructions,
create organizational patterns, and establish formal communication
channels. In contrast, relation-oriented leaders practice concern
for others, attempt to reduce emotional conflicts, seek harmonious
relations, and regulate equal participation.
Definitely meaning of leadership has been changed and shifted
from somewhat authoritarian to transformational and more active
leadership styles that are being implemented at current
organisation settings. These leadership styles are highly
influential as the provide adequate level of support to the
Employees on the ground basis and increase their adaptability to
provide better services towards their respective operating
industry.
Task oriented leadership help in determining and following up with
the guidelines that could be later used as a tool for consistent
improvement of the services. This type of availability directly
increased activity of the Year can provide adequate level of
support to the operation conditions.
Situational leadership has proven to be very beneficial at many any
cases. Buy consistently working with the team and being a part of
the team rather than just reading a team in an autocratic way is
definitely a better task which consistently reduces the emotional
conflict and create a harmonious relation with any organisation by
implementing an equal participation.
