In the field of nursing women are generally seen more often as compare to males. The reason to this is the gender stereotype connected with the field. People think that womens can do the delicate care of patients more effectively because of high emotions flow while men are think as do be more effective in work which is tough physically.
The other factor which can influence career choice is the motivation from the parents or any sibling who is already associated with that sector. The family members and closed ones involved in a particular sector are the biggest choices in career choices after the intrinsic interest of an individual. Obstacles in making career choices are generally concrened with family and financial crisis. Sometimes even with the support of family due to lack of financial support you are not able to pursue a career and sometimes due to family issues.
Issues of discrimination can be arised either due to inclination of an organization over a particular employee due to which others are discouraged to perform better. Workplace success highly depends upon an congenial work environment with no faviortaism and discrimination. Sexual harrasment is something which every organization feels to be a very sensitive topic that is why there are strict rules and regulations and in case someone is not adhering to the rules and showing any sign of sexual favours from an employee is to be punished.
