Adam, a manager, implements a process for tracking productivity and rewards productive team members with additional perks. While some team members enthusiastically responded to these measures, offering additional inputs on how productivity can be improved. Others just played along, with some of them expressing their support as long as they were rewarded for their work. If you were in Adam's position, how would you classify the team members based on their reception of the new initiatives? What approaches would you take with each category of followers?

Team is a group of people formed in which people will work individually in order to accomplish the organizational objectives. Team outcome mainly depends on the number and the type of the individual are present in the team, So as a manager we need to take care of forming a team, combination of the team members in a team and their behavior has powerful influence on the team outcome an process.Individuals who has common interest, attitude and goal needed to be come together in order to form a better team. It is necessary that in a team all members should participate and contribute equally and give their best to achieve organizational goals which is predefined. It is obvious that in an organization nobody works individually, every staff is a party of one or another team and they works in lose coordination with the team members to give their best to organization. we need to select a team members who has better understanding with each other, they will help each other and suggest each other whenever required.

If i was a manager i will study each individuals behavior , performance level, Skill set and their relationship with the other staffs, very carefully. It is common that in an organization not every one works very hard, some will be dedicated to work and some will be just do what ever assigned to them, and other category people will not even do the work which is assigned to them. So while creating the team we should not include the same category people in same team. A team should have all kind of people, it should have the person who works very hard and who gives the best suggestion , and good leader who makes others to work, who has good knowledge on technical skill also team needs good entertainer as well. The main thing is team members should have good understanding and communication with each other. The leader who is leading the team should always clearly communicate the goals that needed to be achieved. Everyone in the team will value other persons thinking and feeling. Otherwise it will lead to cold war between the team and it will reduce the productivity. Another major thing is that the size of the team, It should not be too large, if it is too large it s not possible to have good communication between the team , there will be a possibility of misunderstanding. also inside the team, people will starts making small small groups.
